Ed Sheeran Announces Massive ‘Divide’ Arena Tour

Last week, Ed Sheeran released his third LP Divideanother folk-pop masterpiece. Divide is laden with Sheeran’s Irish roots, pop sensibility, and incredible musicianship on the guitar. Now, Ed Sheeran has plotted a 59-date North American tour in support of Divide. The arena tour will kick off in Kansas City June 29th and conclude in Nashville in October.

It’s almost been two years since Ed Sheeran embarked on a world tour. The ‘Divide’ Tour comes following his hiatus in 2016, a much needed needed break from promoting his incredible album x. We think Ed Sheeran fans are more than ready to see their favorite pop troubadour perform songs off of Divide, in addition to the rest of his incredible discography.

Divide has already accrued the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for “Shape of You”, and the No. 6 position for “Castle on the Hill”, making him the only artist to have two new singles make simultaneous top 10 debuts in all of the chart’s history. Not to mention he’s got a billion YouTube views on just Divide songs alone, from his incredible “Shape of You” video in addition to the official audio videos Sheeran put up for the rest of the album.

Tickets for Ed Sheeran’s upcoming Divide tour will enter a pre-sale period on March 13th on Ticketmaster and the general sale will begin March 17th. Considering Ed Sheeran’s fame has only gotten bigger since his last arena tour and release of his latest album Divide, we think tickets are bound to go fast. If things don’t go well on Ticketmaster, be sure to check with us for Ed Sheeran tickets.
