Is Pusha T Getting Ready to Tour?

Daytona, the first of the Kanye-produced, 7-track rap album releases to drop this Summer, was a critical, and promising success. Now, high off this album drop and his reignited feud with Drake, it looks like Pusha T is getting ready to tour.

The first suggestion came last week, when Pusha T’s Instagram was updated with a video of him preparing for his upcoming trek. In the short clip, Push can be seen rehearsing “If You Know You Know” on a small stage with a DJ behind him. “Fine tuning for tour time…,” he wrote on the video.

Though dates for Pusha T’s upcoming tour have yet to be announced, we think his appearance this past weekend at Gov Ball 2018 bodes well for a trek kicking off this Summer. As a part of his 45 minute set, Pusha T performed the entirety of Daytona—which was then just barely a week old—and other gangsta poetics. When he got around to performing “Infrared”, which features the album’s most pointed bars, Pusha T treated the material with an innocent shrug and smile of innocence.

Besides a free show in Montreal, details of Push’s upcoming tour have yet to be revealed, but we wouldn’t be surprised if news arrived soon—especially considering the announcement of upcoming Kanye West tour dates. Prior to the release of Daytona, Push appeared on the Angie Martinez show and revealed that his collaboration with Kanye West will go further than the 7-track album drops.

Pusha said there’s been some discussion about a tour featuring all five artists involved in the Wyoming project (Pusha, Kanye, Kid Cudi, Nas, and Teyana Taylor). Push also said that he and Nas have discussed the possibility of heading out on a co-headlining tour of their own. Neither of these tour calibrations have been confirmed or even suggested by anyone else in the group, but after TDE’s The Championship Tour, it seems rappers touring as entourages is very in season.

So, is Pusha T getting ready to tour? We think so. And if the now president of G.O.O.D Music is getting ready to tour, could he be joined by his other label mates, who are each getting ready to drop 7’s? We think it’s possible, if not probable. We wish we had more confirmations about Pusha T’s upcoming tour, but check back, as G.O.O.D Music—and Yeezy—Season continues.
