Pell

New Orleans-bred rapper Pell just released his debut album, “Floating While Dreaming,” in 2014. The up-and-coming young talent doesn’t exactly have a sound that most would associate with New Orleans. His style has rather been described as “dream rap,” with layered melodies and stunning production.

Verite

New York-based musician Kelsey Byrne makes music under the moniker Verite. She recently saw a nearly instantaneous rise to the number one spot on the Hype Machine with her breakthrough internet hit “Strange Enough.” Having been performing since her early middle school days, Byrne was long overdue for her big break. She has released several more successful singles this year, and her music has garnered comparisons to popular singers like Lana Del Ray and Ellie Goulding.
