Pop music icon Adam Levine and his band have been tapped to headline the 2019 Super Bowl Halftime show. Considering the singles Maroon 5 made this year (“Girls Like You”, “Don’t Wanna Know”), we think Cardi B and Kendrick Lamar are definitely on the short list of guests likely to appear.
The annual NFL championship game will take place on February 3, 2019, in Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Maroon 5’s performance will follow a string of high-profile pop artists in recent years, including Justin Timberlake, Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Bruno Mars, Katy Perry and others.
Maroon 5 is one of the few remaining bands performing slick, arena pop rock. Not only that, but Maroon 5 is known for their extensive touring schedules, seemingly never taking a break from the road. After nearly 15 years as professional musicians, Adam Levine and Co. certainly know how to captivate a crowd, making them a perfectly good fit for the 2019 Super Bowl Halftime show.
From mainstream, to controversial, to the deliverance of galvanizing performances remembered for years to come, the Super Bowl Halftime show has greatly varied in quality and impact. What do you think about Maroon 5 as the Super Bowl LIII Halftime performer? Let us know!
