The Minskoff Theater has been home to Oklahoma, West Side Story, Sunset Boulevard and most recently The Lion King, which has posted record ticket sales at the Theater. Lion King Tickets have since become difficult to get: so before you go spending money on these hard-to-get tickets, make sure you read this Minskoff Theater Seating Chart Review first.
Lion King Obstructed View Seats
The first few rows in Minskoff Theatre are dangerously close to the stage. Lion King obstructed view seats are present in the first half dozen or so rows. The closer to the sides you get, the farther back the partial view seats get. Take a look at the Minskoff Theatre Seating Map above. Anything in yellow at the top of the seating chart is likely to be obstructed. That doesn’t mean that all yellow sections are obstructed, but beware of seats in the yellow regions closest to the stage.
Minskoff Theatre Overhangs
The Lion King is a grand spectacular. Much as expected, Disney went all out for this one, and rented out one of the largest Theatre’s on Broadway for it’s production of the Lion King. The only problem with large Theaters, such as Wicked’s Gershwin Theatre, is that they can sometimes supply the patrons in the way back with some damn far seats.
Fortunately for all you Lion King aficionados out there, the Minksoff Theatre stacks itself pretty nicely, leaving even those in row L of the Mezzanine all the way in the back with some pretty solid views. And don’t worry, even with all the high flying acrobatics in the Lion King, the back of the orchestra doesn’t miss a beat. Sometimes overhangs can block the sightlines of people sitting deep below them, but at Minskoff Theatre, even row ZZ keeps a steady eye on Mufasa the whole time.
