This afternoon, the boys, aka Harry, Liam, Lois, and Niall announced that the fifth One Direction album is available for pre-order, and will officially drop on November 13th. The album, which will be their final album before taking an “extended hiatus” in 2016, is titled Made in the A.M. The announcement was made via the band’s twitter, you can view the original tweet here.
As a “little treat”, the band has made their new single “Infinity” available for instant download when you pre-order Made in the A.M. Besides their latest hit single “Drag Me Down”, we don’t know anything about what the rest of the album will sound like. But according to their co-producer Julian Bunetta, there was a “no rules” and “no boundaries” policy when the boys hit the studio, allowing the group to make music purely from the moment of inspiration, whatever and whenever it struck.
Unfortunately, due to the untimely circumstance of their impending hiatus, One Direction will not be going on tour in promotion of Made in the A.M. But, 1D fans, there is hope to see the boys one final time. According to a few reports, One Direction may be slated for an appearance at the Superbowl 50 Half-time show for what would be the most epic departure into hiatus yet. The rumors have not been confirmed, so don’t quote us, but here’s the article that’s getting our hopes up in the first place.
Here’s the takeaway: One Direction will release their fifth studio album Made in the A.M on November 13th, and after this current tour which concludes in October, the boys will be taking a break. Be on the lookout for Superbowl 50 half-time show announcements, because if the performance is as epic as it’s been, we don’t doubt that One Direction will want to be a part of it before stopping performances all together.
