We’ve been seeing a lot of action from Atlanta-rapper Playboi Carti recently. From surprise releasing his sophomore album Die Lit last month, to appearing alongside Nicki Minaj on the Saturday Night Live stage, the “Magnolia” rapper has definitely been stepping up his game.
Now, fresh off the Die Lit hype, Playboi Carti has announced a North American Tour. The trek starts July 24 in San Francisco and hits cities like Los Angeles, Chicago, New York City, Philadelphia, and Atlanta. You can see Playboi Carti’s full itinerary here.
This has been a big month for Playboi Carti. Just a few days ago, the rapper released a new video for his song “R.I.P.”, which appears on Die Lit. The dirty, lo-fi track is now accompanied by a black and white visual of Carti igniting a mosh pit. With the punk actors raving and thrashing throughout the whole video, the visual is a great match for “R.I.P”‘s energy. You can check out Carti’s new music video below.
Playboi Carti’s North American Tour is in support of Die Lit, an LP which sonically and lyrically resembles his debut, but has some notable contributions from Nicki Minaj, Young Thug, Skepta, Lil Uzi Vert, Travis Scott, Chief Keef, and many others. The LP features a tribute to the late Chicago rapper Fredo Santana, who passed away earlier this year.
