Red Rocks Seating Chart

What you see above is the basic seating breakdown for Red Rocks. You’ll notice that seat one will always be to your left if you’re looking up at the seats from the stage (or on your right if you’re in your seat). It’s important to note that there are no obstructed seats at Red Rocks, and it’s all bleacher seating, although for many shows, you’ll end up standing for most of the time. For some different events, they’ll split the rows into sections and form Reserved and General Admission areas.

Notice the picture above that was taken from the top of the bleachers. There really isn’t any separation between the entirety of the bleachers, particularly for set-ups that don’t have much reserved seating.

The most common seating arrangement at Red Rocks is to have the first 40-50 rows classified as Reserved, meaning that your tickets will be assigned to a specific row and seat number. Rows 51 and on will be General Admission, in which case you don’t have a specific seat assignment as seats are determined on a first come, first serve basis.

Another common layout at the Red Rocks is to have rows 3-25 be General Admission seating, rows 26-60 as Reserved Seating, and then the last rows go back to General Admission. No matter the layout, rows one and two will always be Reserved Seating. There are also times when the entire venue will be Reserved Seating, or the entire venue will be General Admission seating. In the case of GA seating at Red Rocks, you’ll want to make sure you get the show as early as possible to ensure that you’re as close to the stage as possible.

When Should I Show Up for an Event at Red Rocks?

One question that many fans ask ahead of going to Red Rocks for a show is “what time does Red Rocks Amphitheatre open?” The answer varies in terms of time, as many shows have different start times, but Red Rocks will always open one (1) hour prior to the event’s listed start time for fans to come in.

If you have general admission seats to a show, it’s important that you arrive as early as possible in order to go right in and claim your spot as far down as you please or are allowed (when concerning reserved seating areas). Many fans will bring their own blankets or seat cushions in order to stay warm and comfortable into the night.

Handicapped & ADA Seating at Red Rocks Amphitheatre

For those who are confined to a wheelchair and/or those looking to attend a show at Red Rocks with somebody who is, there is some important information that you’ll want to know. If you’re seeking ADA or handicapped seating, you’ll find it located right at the top of the bleachers in what’s considered row 70. This will allow for easy access in and out, as you’re separated from the bleachers. If necessary, folding chairs will be provided with guests, such as ones looking to sit with a fan confined to a wheelchair.

One trick you can use to filter tickets that are handicapped or ADA accessible is by using our “Additional filters +” button on the event page that allow you to select “ADA (wheelchair accessible),” which shows all seats that the seller has marked as handicapped seating.

Best Food at Red Rocks Amphitheatre

While the concessions are fairly limited, there are a few gems available in this beautiful venue. One is the delicious barbecue fare at Rolling Smoke Bar-B-Que, where the barbecue sandwich, rib tips, and macaroni & cheese bowl are great options. Pictured below is their Macaroni & Cheese Bowl with Burnt Ends and is highly recommended.

The tacos from Tacos Tequila Whiskey (pictured below) are another solid option for the venue that lacks a variety of dining establishments, for the most part.

Parking at Red Rocks Amphitheatre

There are plenty of parking options for fans attending a show at Red Rocks, making it very simple to access the theater located in the middle of a mountain. The picture below is of the Upper North Lot, and there’s a nice little hiking trail just off to the left (if you look closely, you can see a dirt path that begins to form), among many, many other great places to hike before a show at Red Rocks. Can you imagine a parking lot being such a picturesque place?

In all, there are five major paid parking lots surrounding the venue, with the Upper North Lot, Lower North Lot, Upper South Lot, Lower South Lot 1, and Lower South Lot 2.
