Looking for a holiday centric concert to attend with friends, family, or partners this season? Here, we have compiled a list of this year’s Best Holiday Concert Tours, some of which are to promote new Holiday albums, and others that are simply to celebrate the season.
Jewel: Handmade Holiday Tour
It’s been a long and wild ride for the famed Pieces of You artist, who quite literally sang her way out of poverty. This Winter, singer/songwriter Jewel will be performing alongside her family on the “Handmade Holiday Tour”. And if guests arrive early, there will be a pre-show gift making and artisan crafts session, where fans have the opportunity to create. This holiday concert tour is about the sharing of tradition—specifically the Kilcher family’s—and song.
Jim Brickman: A Joyful Christmas
Why not participate in the holiday concert tradition with one of America’s veterans, Grammy-nominated songwriter and piano sensation Jim Brickman, on his Joyful Christmas tour? There won’t be a more professional performance of holiday spirit than Jim Brickman’s tour, which combines carols, classics, and original songs. Now on his 22nd year of performing holiday concerts, Jim Brickman is well on his way to becoming an American standard.
Ingrid Michaelson: Songs for the Season
We’ve seen Ingrid Michaelson host holiday concerts for some years now with her annual Holiday Hop. But this year, Michaelson is turning the Holiday Hop into a full blown tour, bringing Songs for the Season—her most recent LP—all over the country. Though Michaelson’s setlist is mostly comprised of her holiday-themed renditions, she still performs fan-favorites, such as “The Way I Am” and “Be Ok”. Backed by a very talented trio, Ingrid Michaelson is truly spreading her wings this season.
Brian Wilson: The Christmas Album Tour
In addition to performing Pet Sounds, Brian Wilson, Al Jardine and co. have dedicated 32 dates to touring 1964’s Beach Boys Christmas Album. These shows will be the first ever live performances of the album, starting with side one’s “Little Saint Nick” (the single from the album) and ending with “Auld Lang Syne.” The 90-minute show will be supplemented with Brian Wilson’s solo catalog, other Beach Boys hits, and new, original Christmas songs.
Pentatonix: Christmas is Here! Tour
In support of their recently released seasonal album Christmas is Here! the famed a cappella group Pentatonix have embarked on a 17-date tour. Though there’s nothing that can beat the live concert experience, Pentatonix will return to NBC this holiday season for Pentatonix: A Not So Silent Night. Their third holiday special with the network airs Dec. 10 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
John Legend: A Legendary Christmas Tour
John Legend. A Christmas album. This is destined to be a huge splash. Maybe not quite as big as Mariah’s Merry Christmas, or Michael Buble’s crooning holiday album, but we wouldn’t be surprised if Legend’s offering to the seasonal album canon becomes a household favorite. Will Legend play fan favorites during “A Legendary Christmas” Tour? We are nearly certain of it.
Trans-Siberian Orchestra: The Ghosts of Christmas Eve Tour
Holiday, rock and roll caravan Trans-Siberian Orchestra will be taking their “Ghosts of Christmas Eve” tour across America through Dec. 30th. The classically trained, metal musicians have accrued quite the reputation as holiday staples, bringing friends and family together at their epic music and light shows for over 20 years. Certifiably one of the best ticket-selling bands of the 2000s, TSO continues to shock and lull fans nationwide.
