Hollywood Bowl Seat Guide

It is important to note that the Hollywood Bowl seat numbers are not consecutive, but rather are broken up between even-numbered seats odd-numbered seats. So don’t panic when you receive your seats and they aren’t consecutive, because they are in fact together.

Hollywood Bowl Pool Circle Seating

The Pool Circle Seating at the Hollywood Bowl are the closest seats to the stage. For mainstream concerts this section normally has 7 rows of folding chair. If you are attending a LA Philanthropic event the Pool Circle will be set up with boxes similar to what you fill find in Garden and Terrace Boxes (more on that later). If the box is set up, you will enjoy a more upscale menu compared to the rest of the venue.

There is a semi-circle stage that wraps behind the Pool Circle and in front of Garden Boxes that performers will occasionally use during their performances, so that is something to keep in mind when purchasing tickets.

Hollywood Bowl Garden BoxesGarden Box Layout Hollywood Bowl

The Garden Boxes at the Hollywood Bowl are the second only to the Pool Circle seats as far as proximity to the stage is concerned. In general, the boxes provide you with a unique experience as you and your friends will have your own private space to enjoy dinner, drinks, and of course the show.

The box seats contain either four or six canvas collapsible chairs (in rare cases three or five) which are surrounded by recently renovated wooden dividers. Each box will have one or two tables that you can set up as you please, but most people put one on each end of the box.

The tables fold up easily back into position so you can rearrange the seats so everyone is facing the stage once the show starts.

Now it should be mentioned that when you are buying box tickets on the secondary market, you may only need two seats (or that may be all that is available for a certain box). This means that you will be sharing this intimate space with other concert goers, so keep that in mind. For seat views from each Garden Box, check out Hollywood Bowl Tips which has a ton.

Table Set at Hollywood BowlHollywood Bowl Terrace Boxes

The Terrace Boxes at the Hollywood Bowl are positioned behind the Garden Boxes, and they share the same general layout. Sitting in the boxes is not your typical concert experience, as you are able to bring your own food and drink, with each box having a wine bottle holder as well.

Some people will go all out and bring table cloths with some serious wine and cheese spreads. Others won’t bring anything, so it really is totally up to you. But if you are just going for the music it probably isn’t worth paying extra to have one of these boxes, as the bench seats will do you just fine.

Hollywood Bowl Super Seats

Aside from the Boxes, the Super Seats are the best seats at the Hollywood Bowl. It isn’t the view that sets these seats apart as much as the actual seats, which are padded with seat backs. The location is great as well though, as you are positioned right in the center of the bowl.
