Warrior of the Week: Episode 11: JR Musselman

Warrior of the Week

TickPick has been very fortunate to partner with amazing companies such as The Veterans Project & Warrior Rising. This week TickPick is proud to honor JR Musselman, a former vetreprenuer with Warrior Rising, as our Warrior of the Week!

Veteran: JR Musselman

Branch of Military: Army

JR D. Musselman grew up on a working ranch in southern Utah and is no stranger to long days and hard work.  He enlisted in the ARMY, and was drawn to the commitment and intensity of Special Operations.  He found an elite brotherhood under the SOCom umbrella, and can see remnants of that passion in Warrior Rising.  He then applied to Warrant Officer Candidate School, and was later accepted into flight school.  JR graduated as an OH58-D Kiowa Warrior combat helicopter pilot.  He served in the Air Cav out of Fort Carson Co.  During a deployment, he was casualty evacuated from theater, and subsequently medically retired from active duty.

JR1-min (1)Transition back into the civilian world was difficult.  It felt like he did not have a mission or purpose that was bigger than myself.  He longed to belong to a team with a great and noble goal.  JR attended the University of Utah, and graduated with degrees in Biology, Chemistry, and Nutrition.  Still driven to find purpose, he joined CVMA, Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association.  A group of combat vets dedicated to helping other veterans.  Through that service, he found a horrible wound.  A festering sore in our society where our war heroes are discarded and forgotten.  JR finally found his purpose, but no resources to actually make a difference.

This in-turn led him to starting his own company.  He founded Mynock LLC, a Data Mining Company based in Utah.  Data mining is the process of validating transactions and providing security to blockchain technologies.  As Mynock Mining grows, it will eventually provide JR with the two precious resources he needs to allow him to help his fellow veterans, those being money and time.  Partnering with Warrior Rising has given him incredible assistance and guidance as well as an avenue to find, and invest in veterans who want to make a difference.  As a 100% disabled combat veteran, JR hopes to inspire his fellow veterans to reach higher, achieve more, and show the world what it means to never quit.

“Never out of the fight!”
