Warrior of the Week Episode 19: Kyle Daniels

In this week’s episode of Warrior of the Week, TickPick is proud to honor Kyle Daniels. We are incredibly grateful for Kyle’s service, and honored to send him tickets to see The Book Of Mormon!

Veteran: Kyle Daniels

Event: The Book Of Mormon

Branch of Military: US Army

Defend the flag that can’t defend itself.

Kyle Daniels joined the US Army in 2003, completed basic infantry training, and earned the coveted Green Beret in February, 2006. He was blessed to be assigned to 10th Special Forces Group in Fort Carson, Colorado. During his time in combat (Two tours in Iraq), he began to be concerned with the disrespect that many Americans displayed towards our flag. It made him sick to his stomach to see people desecrating something that he holds so dear by burning the flag or stomping on it.

He thought, “something needs to be done about that.”

Kyle separated from the military in 2010 and enrolled at the University of Georgia (Go ‘Dawgs!) and he graduated from UGA with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in May, 2015. For the past few years, his goal was to qualify to be a professional golfer on the PGA Tour. In the back of his mind; however, was always the burning desire to do something that defended the flag of the United States of America.

With Warrior Rising’s help, he started a company called “Firebrand Flags.” Their goal is to use recently-created technology to create the first ever truly flame retardant American flag.  He want to create a flag that is as resilient as the people who defend it. He wants to create a flag that is capable of defending itself when no one else is around to do so.

By starting this business, he hopes to be a role model for veterans who are struggling with their transition from military to civilian life and show them that there’s always another mission they can accomplish.
