The last time you went to a game, concert, or show, your experience probably went something like this: You bought tickets and either hard tickets were shipped to your address, or you were sent an email with e-tickets attached. Either way, you took a piece of paper to the venue, which was scanned at the gate, and you went to the event, never knowing that there might be a better way.

With Flash Seats, your credit card (or driver’s license) becomes your tickets. So, instead of scanning your tickets at the entrance, you swipe your credit card, which confirms your identity, and you go in.

Why would you ever use Flash Seats?

Quite simply, Flash Seats combines the ease of using electronic tickets with the security of using “hard” tickets (you kids may not remember this, but tickets used to be different than just a basic piece of paper and a barcode – see the picture on the right for an example of this).

While purchasing tickets directly from Flash Seats may be difficult, and Flash Seats is very unclear as to how much they charge you in fees to purchase from their site, transferring tickets to different Flash Seat accounts is a breeze (and free). After purchasing tickets from TickPick for a Flash Seats venue, the following steps are taken:

  1. The seller uses Flash Seats’ patented technology to transfer the tickets to TickPick. 
  2. TickPick then uses that same technology to transfer the tickets to the email address you used at checkout. 
  3. After the tickets are transferred to you email address, TickPick will email you to notify you of the transfer. At around the same time, you will receive an email from Flash Seats to claim your tickets.
  4. You will then follow the link in the email from Flash Seats to set up an account, choosing to use either a credit card or drivers license to act as your “ticket”

    Terrible. Tried to sell tickets and the site didn’t even send me the email notifications that people were bidding on my tix until after the game had begun. I won’t be using them again.

      We’re sorry for any confusion, Anthony, but the only time you would receive any notifications for bids on your listing is if it fit whatever any bidder out there was looking for. We aren’t able to guarantee any sales on TickPick and if you would like to sell tickets in the future it would be best to make sure that the prices you’ve listed your tickets for are competitive with similar listings. Even then, no ticket marketplace would be able to guarantee your tickets will sell.         I know you can’t guarantee the sale. But it’s be nice if I received the emails on time so I could’ve sold them. I’m still receiving email bids and the game is over.

    Bought 5 tickets to go to an event and my step-mom got double pneumonia, so obviously wasn’t able to attend the event. I tried to call and print the ticket off, so I could possibly sell it to someone at the event. They said it is electronic only and can only transfer the ticket to someone else who has the app!? What happens if the person I want to sell it to doesn’t have the app!? This system is a joke!!! DO NOT USE THIS METHOD. Get your paper tickets. Also, if you choose flash seats and want to print your tickets it will cost $20.00 to print them at the venue. It’s a joke.

    Buyer beware. Do not use this system. The information they provide on the site to enter the event is not what is truly required and poorly communicated. Result being that while your friends enter the event, you have to go to a window on the other side of the stadium and wait 30 minutes to get assistance. I received an email 8 hours prior to the event with additional information from the venue but it was too late. I will never use this system again.

    I sent an email and left a couple of voicemails for someone from flashseats to call me back with no response. I called this afternoon and finally got through to Ammon Soori. He was extremely rude and was yelling at me. He continually told me I already had the tickets in my possession which of course I did not because you guys do not give actual tickets. I explained to him that I was new to this website and just needed to know how the process worked so I could make sure my daughters would be able to attend the concert once they showed up. It’s crazy to show up to an event and not have tickets in your possession, you can assume you will not get in, right? He just continued to yell at me, said that is all he could do for me, which he didn’t do anything for me. He just continued to accuse me of already getting an email that I don’t remember getting and did not show in my in-box. He resent an email and I could get it from thee but he was so rude. I have never in my life been spoken to like that by a customer service representative. It was absurd. He said is there anything else I can do for you and I said yes, please stop yelling at me and be patient with me because I have never used their site and was trying to make sure my children could go to this event and how. He continued to yell that I had already received the tickets and there is nothing else he could do for me. It really is unbelievable how he treated me. I do not appreciate it at all. I will try to notify anybody and everybody that I received correspondence from with regard to tickets to this event at Toyota Center to make sure anyone who needs to know, knows how Ammon Soori with Flashseats.com treats its customers.     Steer clear!!! Be careful! The site is very poorly navigated and there is a lag! The lag resulted in 2 of my bids getting accepted for the same event and the Customer Service is terrible they wont even consider their error or a possible refund. They blame it directly on YAHOO and GOOGLE and not their own system.
